fun cruise fact

Here is a fun fact from the 14 day panama canal crusie, the average age is .........drum roll..........

67

.......there are some old freaking people on this ship at the moment. At about 8pm it is like a ghost ship....the is no one anywhere. All the shows have been brought forward by about an hour because people were complaining they were to late. I have never seen so many scooters or walking frames in my life. One woman who would have been in her 60's commented on how many old people there where on the ship.....gold.

Anyway it is all fun and games and means we can use all the restaurants up stairs because they are empty by 8:30 at the latest.

please don't bring the local produce back on board, Columbia

After telling people that Columbia was safe and kidnappings weren’t as common as they are made out to be in the media, everything went to plan, and no one got kidnapped, so I was correct. I really like Columbia, there are a few very rich people (any one want to guess how they made their money?) and the rest of the country is poor…..really poor. But there is a lot of construction going on and apparently the government is doing what it is meant to do. We went on a tour up to a monastery that overlooks the whole of cartahania (spelling incorrect but I will get the right spelling soon). And then down to look at the main city where we got to buy more stuff and see some of the church’s and the remains of a saint something (I will find out his name). I also drank lots of coffee and looked at the emeralds which turn out to be really expensive and the best in the world.

A lot of passengers complained that the poor people shocked them……..as if there wasn’t poor people where they came from. Also I got to dispatch 800 people on one tour from the stardust theatre which was interesting because about 100 were German and needed translating.
