Over the last eight months we have been working on our first big project through Social innovation in Western Australia. We were looking for proven ways to increase the opportunity for Innovation and Collaboration and through that process have found a number of co-working and collaboration spaces teamed with support programs that provide some very positive outcomes.
On Tuesday we had our first event to start the community building and co-creation of a space on St Georges Terrace. Full details of the space can be found on www.hubperth.org and we will be updating with more information as this process continues over the coming months.
There is still a lot of work to do in relation to getting more partners onboard and designing a space people that organically encourages innovation however we have made a solid start and now it is all about maintaining momentum...the plan is to have it open by October 2011.
