While my body was still in shock from Acapulco we came to our next stop in Porto Vallarta (also in Mexico). After dispatching tours I went on a jeep and beach adventure (one of our tours). I was in a jeep (wrangler) with one of the operators and he let me drive the whole time which was good, although it was the other side of the road and I had to change gears with my right hand.
We went all over the Mexican country side and there were people everywhere, I had other people on the tour (Americans) say they were disturbed by the poverty, I am still not sure how to answer that, there is just as much poverty where they come from they just choose not to see it.
Anyway after driving around off road part we stopped at a tequila factory where I sampled some samples of the local tequila which was very nice. I also got to see how it was made and the different types of tequila. I didn’t buy any because it was very expensive (about 120 aus per bottle). We then went off road again and through the city to the beach. It was a nice beach and the restaurant that we stopped at was cool, it was all out doors.
