leaving alaska, sad but looking forward to the sun
Yes the Alaska season is over now, we just left Ketchikan for the last time and had out last drinks in Skagway on Wednesday so it looks like that is it.
Today we had a few drinks in the Artic Bar which was nice and we were almost the last ones on the ship.
On Wednesday in Skagway we had our last shots and other drinks (my liver has already started detoxing), and said good buy to everyone we have become good friends with there.
I will put some photos up when we get to Seattle because we have the whole afternoon off after morning dispatch (finally) because we don't have any tours in Vancouver the next day.
I am going to give Vancouver a second chance, I think my judgment of it was a bit harsh last time but only because I had a few drinks the night before. But this is its last chance and it better impress the hell out of me or it is going in my black list of places to go again.
Then we head down to San Fran (yay) and on to LA (crap) then start the 14 day relocation cruise to Miami via the Panama Canal.
It should be an eventful few weeks so I am looking forward to it. We are getting a new security officer though.........so I am going to have to behave.
