It was a long wait but then I boarded my plane to charles de gaulled in Paris France.

That is one big airport, I mean there was a cue of planes waiting to take off, also there was low fog so as soon as they took off they disappeared (scary).

The bus driver got lost trying to find our plane from France to Bristol, I could understand this because it was a big airport.

Once we found our plane it turns out I was going to be on a 40 seat twin propeller plane…..I have been on smaller (float planes in Alaska) but this was going to be crossing the channel, not much I could have done about it at that stage anyway.

The flight was smooth and I made it to Bristol, customs was easy and then Lydia was waiting to pick me up (hooray) we then went to her house and dumped all my gear and went for a long walk around Bristol, it turned out to be about a 6 hour walk.

Also it was Guy Fawkes night and there were fire works going off all night. Australia stopped celebrating that because of “accidents” with explosives, why do some kids have to ruin it for everyone.

So now I am here for the next 5 weeks but it is going to be action packed, we are flying to Barcelona, Spain tomorrow for 4 days which will be great.
