On the ms Noordam in the Caribbean

This Caribbean season was more work than play. There was some beach time but after Jayne left there were very few photos. Still was good fun but work was the priority. Many of the ports were new to me and I really enjoyed the Dutch ports of call, very different to the rest of the Caribbean (I thought anyway).

ATV adventure in Castries, St Lucia

Posted October 24th, 2007 in Castries, St Lucia by Brodie McCulloch

The only place I have been ATVing is St John’s, Antigua and this ATV was about so much better , its not that the one in Antigua is bad it is just this one was a lot better in every part.

a nice day for atv'sa nice day for atv’s

The course started out going up and down some rocky tracks for about 20 min and then we got to a beach that had a track on it, it was through both the beach sand and mud from the rain the night before.

We got a drink and swim break at the beach with had some ruins on it and managed to get some great photos there, my shoes were wet though because we got covered in mud while going around the track and then I thought it would be ok to wear them in the water to wash the mud off.

Once we had finished at the beach we went back around the track a few times (so much for washing my shoes) and then back a different way to the starting point.

I felt bad for the guy whose car we got in as we were all covered in mud and he said it was fine …..I would have been angry if I were him.

Managed to get some good photos of us tearing around as well as some good landscape shots. As normal you can see the ATV ones here and all my other photos on flickr.

A long day of talking to old people in Castries, St Lucia

Posted March 10th, 2007 in Castries, St Lucia by Brodie McCulloch

I went on a mammoth 7 hour tour in St Lucia, it went all over the island and took you on a gondla ride through the rain forrest which was nice.

The day seamed twice as long because the night before we had a crew party on the tennis court / helli pad / basket ball court. The booze was free and it went from about 11 – 3. It was a dam good party, I put on of the girls in charge of my camera and said to take some “random” photos, by that I ment photos of the party in general (there would have been about 500 or so people there). There must have been a language barrier though because I eneded up with some strange photos of beer bottles and the floor. Dosent matter as there is another staff party in a few weeks.

St Lucia also had some really nice beaches, the photos are lacking on this one because of the night before. It dosent really matter though because we are going through there again in another week or so.
